So sad Friendly's is gone... I really don't like that that's a mosque-- I'd prefer another restaurant for the marian kids to go to after school.
I do agree that having a church every 10 feet is crazy. there's far too many. I realize there's a need for a brazilian church for the non-english speaking and and english one for the english people and catholic ones and protestant ones... but 30? That just means that all those churches are small cuz there's so many... and that makes each church harder to stay open. I could understand like 5 or 10... since there's a lot of different denominations... but for pete's sake...
I would like to see some other businesses in some of those places... maybe 2 of those churches could combine? But I fear if a store did go into one of those places, it'd just end up being a Brazilian clothing store or reastaurant-- that's ALWAYS what it is! I want an english speaking place and something unique... like a flower shop... or a book store... or something we don't already have 5 of.
Down town is messed up.
