I received an e-mail from MetroWest Daily News Op/Ed Editor Rick Holmes stating that my column must have "fallen through the cracks" and that he'd never received it.
I e-mailed him back saying that this is not the first time something has "fallen through the cracks" with the MWDN, and I once again sent him a copy of the column.

Does that mean that it's going to be published after all? You're right about columns "falling through the cracks." I've had to remind Rick a couple of times about a letter or column I've sent. A couple of times they've gotten "lost." It's always a good idea to follow up.

Jennie (and others) I have heard from Rick Holmes since posting the update. The MWDN IS going to run the column although they will edit out the Feb. references...which is essentially the first couple of sentences. My son also sent in a column they never ran and I imagine his e-mail also got lost. I'm encouraging him to resubmit THAT too!
